If Elected --- Will YOU Serve???

Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
At the end of this year, I will complete my second term as a member of the Board of Directors for the Loudoun Valley Emmaus community. It has been my privilege to serve in this capacity in an effort to help ensure that the mission of Emmaus—to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders—is accomplished. As Chair of the Nominations Committee this year, it is my responsibility to develop a ballot of candidates for the Board of Directors prior to our election this fall. Three women and two men will be ending their terms of service this year, and
replacements are needed to fill these seats on the Board.
Friends, I know all of our lives are chock full of responsibilities, meetings, work, play, family, friends, etc., but I also know that the mission of Emmaus is one we should not ignore. We all received the gifts of Emmaus---won’t you consider giving back by offering your name for our Board election ballot this fall? Our Board is a vital part of our Community. We need you.

Board members serve 3-year terms, and every Board member is eligible to be elected as Community Lay Director after the initial year of service on the Board.
